- It will take approximately two years of study to complete the BSN nursing program which involves 67 credit hours of upper-division nursing coursework. The courses are to be taken sequentially, in a ten-week hybrid and five-week online format. Accreditation for the BSN programs is being sought from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
- In order to receive the BSN degree, it is essential that the student should have 120 credits out of which, 53 credits should have been earned in pre-requisite courses before being admitted to the BSN nursing program as a junior student and the balance 67 credits should be completed in nursing coursework after being admitted to the BSN program. These 67 credits must be completed at the college where you are seeking admission and they cannot be transferred from another college or university. However, the pre-requisite credits can be transferred to your new college from another college.
- Pre-requisite coursework can be completed by earning non-traditional credit if the student scores at or above established levels in any College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) and DSST examination. Credit can also be awarded by the University if the student has acquired knowledge and skills in corporate training or if he has gathered other non-traditional experiences. The student can earn up to 34 credits through the Prior Learning Credit process if he is a degree-seeking student and if he has satisfactorily completed the PLC 200 course. For evaluation of credits, a fee has to be paid. Any credit received will be added to the existing credit score for graduation if it is relevant to the degree program being pursued by the student. This credit is also known as transfer credit. The University follows the standards and guidelines set forth by the Council for the Advancement of Experiential Learning for assessing and accepting Prior Learning Credit.
